I’ll write a few suggestions for each of my picks, but if you already have an idea that you’re passionate about writing, then by all means go for it :)

General likes and dislikes:
Gen, slash and het are all good. I love all types of fic - light, funny, dark, atmospheric, scary… I’m not too good, however, at dealing with heavy, unresolved angst, so I would really love a story that ends well, or at least not too badly, for the main characters (anything from happy to bittersweet); and I would be super grateful if you could avoid main character death (unless it’s already part of the canon), and if you could avoid dubcon or noncon if you’d like to write explicit scenes.

Cowboy Bebop (Live Action TV) - Jet Black, Spike Spiegel

This show ended on the worst possible note, especially since one of the things I loved the most in this adaptation was Spike’s and Jet’s relationship. I would love a story that explores their relationship further (gen or slash are both great). It kills me how Spike puts Jet on such a high moral pedestal and thinks so lowly of himself that he’s convinced he could never be fully honest with Jet for fear of losing him, yet his lack of honesty is precisely what drives Jet away from him. Jet, for his part, demands full honesty from his crew but clearly has trouble showing his own vulnerability to them and tends to act annoyed rather than express directly how much he cares and worries about them, especially when it comes to Spike.
Obviously, fix-it fic for that heartbreaking ending would be amazing, but any story (past or future) where these two idiots could interact - even if for a brief, fleeting moment - in a more honest way would make me super happy. Or, if you feel like writing something much lighter, anything comedic or fluffy involving the two of them (like Christmas fic from a previous year they’d spent together or a future time when they’re back to being crewmates) would be great as well. And obviously, feel free to include Faye or any other character from the show!

I love how beautiful and intriguing these two’s characters are and I would be so happy to read any story that allows me to spend more time with them, separately or together. I love how thoughtful, careful and tender their relationship is, and how they help each other on their path to self-acceptance. I would love anything that lets me know them better - little vignettes of their individual lives before they met each other, present or future snippets of their relationship, an adventure-filled night in Seoul spent together, or anything else you feel like writing! Coffeeshop/Restaurant or Christmas fic is of course very welcome, and feel free to include any of the other members’ characters if you want :)

I love their fictional universe so much, and I’d be super happy with any story set within it, so please write anything you’d like! I’ll be including the diary entries in my suggestions, but I’d love your take on this universe whether or not you’ve read them, so feel free to go with whatever angle inspires you the most :)
I would love a story fleshing out some of the moments portrayed in the teasers/ MV/ diary entries (for instance, one of the Black Pirates’ missions to get people to disable the chip in their ear, or daily life planning said missions in their hideout with Left Eye), or recounting what happens after the end of the MV, once they infiltrate the Prestige Academy. I’m also very interested in the gaps in the story we’ve gotten so far: how did they get Yeosang back? Did they all commit to Left Eye’s plans from the start or were there tensions in the group at first? Are they all intent on seeing this resistance movement through to the end or are some of them aching to go back to their original world as soon as possible?
I would love anything from any of the characters’ POVs, even characters outside of the Black Pirates - for instance, the little boy’s POV (if you’ve read the diary entries, I’d love to get more details about his life, how he went through his ‘awakening’ of emotions, or if he’ll be able to be reunited with his brother or not - and if you haven’t read them, I’d still love your take on him!), or from the POV of an original character living in this world and being directly impacted by the Black Pirates’ revolution.
I’m also extremely curious about Yeosang: it says in the diaries he was kept in ‘a facility for re-educating the socially-malajusted’ before they rescued him, which must have been quite the experience. I’m so curious about what that place was like (I think we see glimpses of it in the ‘Turbulence’ MV?) and what exactly he went through there. Was he able to talk to the others about his time there or is he trying to process this experience on his own? Has his ‘re-education’ in any way impacted his ability to feel emotions now? Could the Black Pirates’ new mission to infiltrate the ‘Prestige Academy’ be in any way triggering for him? And speaking of this new mission, could it also be a particularly difficult one for Mingi, who had a very hard time at school (as we learned during the Fever series)?
These were just a few ideas, but like I said, please go with whatever inspires you in this MV/universe!
